From the time I was a very small child, I’d always been allergic to pets. Whether it be a dog or a cat, if there was a furry animal in a house you could guarantee that I’d be hacking, sneezing and coughing in no time flat. Within minutes of entering a home where a pet lived, my eyes would begin watering and my throat would get itchy. Staying there for more than an hour was absolutely out of the question. The worst part about all of it was that I truly loved animals; I just couldn’t be near them.

Missing Out

As a child, I had to miss out on a lot of fun things due to my pet allergy. I couldn’t attend many sleepovers, for instance, because they were held at homes where a dog or cat was underfoot. Even if my friend’s parents vacuumed diligently before I arrived, it simply wasn’t feasible for me to be in the same house with a pet. As I grew older, I had to miss out on hanging out at boyfriends’ and other friend’s homes in junior high and high school; if anyone named Rover or Scruffy lived there, I had to steer clear.

Medication Helps – Kind Of

By the time college rolled around, I was sick and tired of living a restricted life due to my pet allergies. Around the same time, several new drugs came out that worked wonders for my allergies. I knew that these medications were merely masking the problem, but anything was better than suffering through the horrible symptoms that were brought on by someone’s pet. Anyway, I’d just take the medication prior to spending time in a home with pets; I didn’t have to take it all the time.

My Life Changes

Like many people, I met and fell in love with someone during my 20s. He was everything that I could possibly have wanted, with one major exception: He was a consummate cat lover. He owned two cats, both of whom were still quite young at the time and whom he could never bear to part with. When he popped the question, I said yes – but immediately started wondering what on Earth we were going to do about his two cats. I was quite overwhelmed with anxiety about the whole situation, until he mentioned a product that a close friend had tried with great success: the Austin Air Pet Machine.

The Austin Air Pet Machine

My husband-to-be’s best friend had suffered from pet allergies all of his life, too. He’d purchased an Austin Air Pet Machine the previous year and, despite having two cats in the house, remained largely symptom-free. Intrigued, we ordered one for ourselves. By the time we’d married and I moved in, there were a couple of Austin Air Pet Machines running in our home – and I didn’t have to rely on medications to get through the day there, either. I couldn’t believe what a difference that machine made for me.

Amazing Benefits and Technology

The Austin Air Pet Machine is designed with people like me in mind. Pet dander is the culprit behind pet allergies, and this machine works by trapping it in a series of exceptionally designed filters. Sixty feet of HEPA filters, for instance, work to trap airborne pet dander and a slew of other pollutants. On top of that, a cloth Zeolite blend filter and an activated carbon filter work to ensure that no fumes, gases, odors or other things slip through the cracks. When friends visit now, they don’t even realize we own two cats – unless they come bounding into the room!

Quiet Performance

Unlike many air purifiers, the Austin Air Pet Machine is amazingly quiet. It’s easy to forget that it’s even in the room, and never gets in the way of enjoying a television show or simply conversing in a room. Thanks to this amazing machine, I can enjoy excellent indoor air quality. I couldn’t be more thrilled with it, and I am certain that I will be a lifelong Austin Air Pet Machine customer.
